Help Los Amigos Highschool Get Their Equipment!

Los Amigos High School's varsity and junior varsity baseball teams lost most of their equipment including: baseball mitts, bats, a pitching machine and other equipment when thieves broke in to the storage lockers sometime over the Labor day weekend. What is even sadder is the majority of the students come from economically challenged households and most of the former equipment had been bought through funds raised by the booster club. The teams are supposed to play games from September through October in the Fall Ball league, their first game will be in two weeks. Coach Art Maltby, who has spent the past two seasons rebuilding the Lobos baseball program, said the theft was a devastating blow.

The Angels, the Angels Foundation and Diamond Sports have committed to providing $3,000 in replacement equipment. An attorney in Los Angeles who wished to remain anonymous also made a substantial donation. Lamppost Pizza in Fountain Valley agreed to donate some of the proceeds of food sales on Thursday, Sept. 13, to the baseball program.

This website has been formed to help raise not only the remaining balance of funds to replace the equipment, but help to exceed that cost PLUS helping to get a more secure way of storing the equipment so this doesn't happen again.
